allfashion sourcing Expo to take place in October 2021

The allfashion sourcing expo will take place from Tuesday, 19 to Thursday, 21 October, 2021. The business-focused exhibition for the fashion, leather and textile industries welcomes you to a hybrid event, which will take place at the LookOut venue in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

The expo will utilise both live and online platforms to continuously create connections and networking opportunities between buyers, procurement specialists and clothing designers. Show director, Kathryn Frew, states that “It is important that we find innovative ways to help companies market their brand to a targeted audience of potential buyers in a cost-effective way.”

“For this reason and to continue the quest to support the textile, leather, footwear and fashion industries in Southern Africa, allfashion sourcing Cape Town will open its 2021 event as a hybrid edition,” she explains. This hybrid approach includes a virtual showroom for exhibitors who are unable to attend the actual expo. This virtual platform will remain online for three months after the event.

In accordance with Covid-19 requirements, Messe Frankfurt South Africa – the organisers of allfashion sourcing Cape Town – have guaranteed a safe atmosphere for guests. “We understand the importance of linking local buyers with both local and international products, the pop-up showroom is a display of products to touch and feel without the presence of the exhibitor,” says Frew.

“Buyers will have access to virtually meet and connect with exhibitors, ensuring we provide a safe environment for our visitors,” she adds. In addition to the virtual showroom, all seminar content and discussion forums will be available for 90 days to attendees who register on the online platform.

allfashion sourcing expo also features a fringe programme

The online fringe programme for the three-day event will include a Young Designers Competition, various workshops, business-to-business meetings, seminars and fashion shows. There will also be hosted talks about womenswear and menswear trends, sustainability workshops and expert advice for designers, textile manufacturers and procurement facilitators.

“The showroom and seminar content have been carefully crafted to enhance both the exhibitor and visitor experience. We understand that it is difficult to predict the way forward for traditional exhibitions. But we are excited to deliver a platform which provides an opportunity for buyers to source products from a variety of manufacturers and suppliers,” concludes Frew.
